Height adjustable desks do not have to look heavy and make your home feel like an office. 'SPLIT' has a lightweight and simple look that makes it easy to include in your home while keeping the ergonomic benefits of a traditional height adjustable desk.  

Split has a hinged table top with hidden storage underneath to help to keep your living space organised.   

The storage area under the tabletop easily fits a laptop and typical office items with there still being  leg room under the desk to sit comfortably. The storage shelf is made of powder coated steel and is smooth to the touch.  

 
The table top surface is made from melamine with an oak finish on both top and bottom side. The edges are made from ABS; they are 2mm in width and slightly rounded. The table’s core is a 18mm particleboard. The wood is graded E0 which indicates the level of formaldehyde in the material as well as its emission. E0 is the lowest level, and E1 is the legal requirement for indoor use.
 

Particleboard is both a material of the past and the future. Perhaps the material was initially used in a bed frame, and in its next cycle, it might be used as a part of a kitchen. Right now, however, it is a table top, and it can function in this way for a long time. It is resistant to both wear, shock and liquid. 
 
The desk is in one box and the design and materials have been chosen to make the environmental impact of this desk as small as possible. Quick and easy assembly, both video and paper/PDF assembly instructions are available.
